Argentina & Uruguay
The Argentinian Lake District, centered around Bariloche, in the foothills of The Andes, is beautiful and dramatic landscape.
Buenos Aires is a fascinating, vibrant city, renowned for it's wonderful architecture, especially beautiful art-deco work from the end of the 19th and early 20th centuries. More of this heritage can been seen in the decorated memorials in the Recoleta cemetery.
Colonia in Uruguay, across the estuary of the River Plate on a short hydrofoil ride from Buenos Aries, is an old Portuguese/Spanish colonial town, little changed from it's origins.
